Albe Steiner è il grafico delle immagini e dei simboli che hanno dato impulso e caratterizzato il ritorno alla libertà del nostro Paese dopo gli anni della dittatura. La progettazione grafica di tutta la seconda metà del ‘900 è frutto delle novità introdotte da Licalbe Steiner che, oltre a reinventare manifesti e molto altro, hanno ideato la metodologia di formazione professionale che ha preparato le successive e le attuali, generazioni di talenti grafici di successo.
Comunicare a tutti con semplicità è il loro modo di essere graphic designer, con un’elegante intelligenza che sottende ogni scelta, un costante rinnovamento culturale e una sana curiosità.
Questa mostra è organizzata con affetto e devozione dal Museo MAGMA per sottolineare quanto l’intero progetto museale sia dedicato al “mestiere di grafico” che, come insegnato da Licalbe, deve essere ispirato all’attualità, curioso e precursore, disposto ad imparare ogni giorno che basta poco per fare molto, moltissimo.

Albe Steiner — the graphic designer, whose images and symbols have given impulse to and have also featured the return to freedom of our Nation after the dark years of military dictatorship. The entire second half of the Twentieth Century design artwork is the product of those changes and innovations introduced by Licalbe Steiner himself. Not only did he reinvent the posters and much more, but he also came up with the new and innovative methodologies for professional training, which has prepared the current and successive generations of successful, brilliant graphic designer talents.
Clarity and simplicity in communicating to all the audience — that’s the motto and also their way of being graphic designers. Featured by a healthy curiosity and a constant cultural renovation, they stand out for their elegant intelligence underlying each single choice.
The Magma Museum organises this exhibition with the utmost affection and devotion, also in order to emphasise how the entire museal project is dedicated to “the profession of the graphic designer”, that Licalbe has taught us, he must be curious and a pioneer inspired by current events, learning, day by day, that much is made with few, very few resources!
